Program Description:

Centro Civitas is a community-based organization dedicated to civic education and environmental stewardship. Its mission is to promote, teach, and practice civic responsibility to help build stronger communities and protect the environment. Through workshops, community initiatives, and educational programs, Centro Civitas empowers individuals with civic knowledge and skills while working to reduce civic illiteracy.

During this month-long volunteer opportunity, volunteers will support the logistics of a Practical Citizenship Workshop held at Akadem on Saturdays. Responsibilities will include event setup, participant support, activity coordination, and other tasks to ensure the workshop runs smoothly.

On Sunday August 16th, volunteers will help organize and facilitate games and recreational activities for children, including bounce houses, bicycles, arts and crafts, Jenga, and other interactive activities.

Requirements:

• Saturdays - White tshirt & jeans or black pants.

• Sunday - Water bottle & snacks.
